her big break came when working for Wagener creating the silhouettes for The pied piper of Hamelin and animating the rats. The success of the film alloweed her to gain entry into an experimental mini short film studio.

During  the 1930s  Rainiger and her husband fled Germany, to run away from the Hitler. They spend greats amount of time moving around till the war had ended.  After settling in London her career flourished again.

In 1953  Louis Hagen set a production house called Primrose Production, he was a refugee that had  spend many years in the concentration camp. Reiniger made many films there, that kept her career for 10 years.

The last film of hers was in 1972 named  The Rose and the Ring, that was written by    William Makepeace Thackeray.

Her animation style is elegant and very detailed, which brings it to life. The backgrounds give the illusion of places being bigger than they actually are. Almost like its inviting the audience to visit it, the movements of the characters are very expressive without using words.

                                       Don Hertzfeldt

In an American animator, writer, filmmaker  he is best known for the world of tomorrow, his work also had appeared in Simpsons. He was born 1976 Alabama county, California. He drew homemade comics at age of 15 and began to learn animation with his VHS camera. While at film school he was drawn to the animation as it was less expensive to produce. He could not afford to buy many  16mm  camera films. He newer held a job other creating his animated films, his work got some exposure   at a film festival Santa Barbara.

His animations are simplistic in nature, showing stick figures. The stories are normally told in black humour or tragedy comedy. Most of the animation also asks  existential and philosophical themes. the animations are originally drawn on paper using little digital aid.

He uses an unique  16mm or 35mm camera to capture the images of the drawings, often using old fashioned special affect of multiple exposures. Giving the animation an old 90s vibe

His style is very simplistic, thought it conveys emotion by using comedy skits. The stories of the animations is what makes a somewhat a simple cartoons characters seem more interesting
